General John M. Keane, United States Army, Retired
General Jack Keane is Senior Managing Director and co-founder of Keane Advisors, LLC, a private equity firm. He has been elected to the Board of Directors of Metlife, General Dynamics and Allied Barton Security. He is a senior advisor to Kholberg, Kravis and Roberts, one of the nation’s largest private equity firms and is an advisor to the Chairman & CEO of URS Corporation. He is also a member of the Secretary of Defense’s Policy Board, a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, director of the George C. Marshall Foundation, Chairman of the Knollwood Foundation, a member of the Executive Committee, Pentagon Memorial Fund, and chairman of Senior Executive Committee, Army Aviation Association of America.
General Keane, a four-star general, completed 37 years in public service in December 2003, culminating as acting Chief of Staff and Vice Chief of Staff of the US Army. As the chief operating officer of the Army for 4½ years, he directed one million, five hundred thousand soldiers and civilians in 120 countries, with an annual operating budget of 110 billion dollars. General Keane was in the Pentagon on 9/11 and provided oversight and support for the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. He serves as a national security analyst for ABC News and speaks throughout the nation on national security and leadership. Still active in national security, General Keane conducts frequent trips to Iraq for senior defense officials having completed multiple visits in 2007 and 2008. He serves as a national security analyst.
General Keane is a career paratrooper, a combat veteran of Vietnam, decorated for valor, who spent much of his military life in operational commands where his units were employed in Somalia, Haiti, Bosnia and Kosovo. He commanded the famed 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) and the legendary 18th Airborne Corps, the Army’s largest war fighting organization.
General Keane graduated from Fordham University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and a Master of Arts degree in Philosophy from Western Kentucky University. He is a graduate of the Army War College and the Command and General Staff College. A practiced investment advisor for nearly two decades, Mr. Elinsky was previously a partner for the Private Client Services Division of Goldman Sachs before moving his business to Merrill Lynch. He is well versed in Asset Allocation Modeling, Single Stock Risk Management, Option & Derivative Strategies, as well as Qualified ESOP's. Greg holds a B.S. in Hotel and Restaurant and Institutional Management and an M.B.A. from Pennsylvania State University. He was also a member of both the 1988 and the 1992 Olympic wrestling teams. Greg has been married to his wife Rene for over 15 years and they have 4 children. Greg serves as President of his local high school wrestling booster club and shares his knowledge of the sport of wrestling with the high school team. Ken Lang Chief Operations Officer Ken has spent more than 15 years working with Wall Street Venture Capitalists. During the internet boom of the 80’s and 90’s Ken held positions that ranged from Chief Technology Officer at Lycos, to founder of WiseWire, and as CEO and Software Architect of Lightspace™ Technology. During his career Ken has developed a wide range of products that include artificial intelligence, asset allocation modeling software, computer gaming technologies, and reputation management technology. Ken has been featured in numerous publications including the Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Washington Post, Newsweek, and Forbes Magazine.Ken is a graduate of Duke University where he finished second in his class with simultaneous degrees in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, and Physics. Greggory J. FlinnDirector Gregg joins ECS and Keane Advisors after working on Wall Street for 8 years. Initially, Gregg worked at Goldman Sachs as an Analyst in the Private Client Services Division in Philadelphia. Gregg was promoted to Associate and worked on the Fixed Income Trading Desk where he continued to work with High Net Worth clients managing cash positions, municipal bond portfolios and contributing to research publications. Gregg left Goldmann Sachs in 2001 to trade for his personal account and research futures and stock trading strategies. Stephen R. GothardDirector of Human Resources and Media Relations Steve spent almost two decades in the workforce prior to joining Keane Advisors. Steve has an extensive background in information technology focusing on data networking, application deployment, security, and human resources. He has spent significant time in the health care industry having worked for two of the most prominent health systems in the United States. Steve also spent time in information technology sales just prior to joining Keane Advisors. Steve holds a B.S. (with honors) in Business Administration from Cabrini College. He is a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving in the intelligence community aboard the USS Peleliu (LHA-5). Steve has been married to his wife Diane for over 22 years and they have 2 boys (Alex and Jeff). Steve is an active leader in his church youth group and serves as president of his local high school wrestling booster club and is a member of the board of directors for his local Little League. David RamageDirector With over twelve years of extensive financial management experience, David Ramage has held senior positions within both the asset management and financial consulting industries. Mr. Ramage's key strengths are his ability to assess complex and advanced technologies and apply fundamental, financial analysis techniques to public and private investments. Most recently, David was a Co-Portfolio Manager at StoneRidge Investment Partners, a $700 million Small, Mid and Large Cap equity manager.
